Jack Nicklaus Signature course — 3rd in South Africa (Golf Digest 2026)
This masterpiece was shaped by Jack Nicklaus and opened in November 2003 with an exhibition match against Gary Player. Golf Digest named it Best New Course of the Year. Deep lush fairways and brilliant white river sand lining 81 bunkers make Pearl Valley one of the most visually spectacular courses in the country.
Championship length 6 749 metres. Every hole is framed by the Paarl and Franschhoek mountains.

With panoramic views of the Paarlberg mountains, the clubhouse is the social hub of the estate. The terrace and bar overlook the 9th and 18th greens — perfect for sundowners. It includes The Valley Restaurant, golfers’ lounge, golf shop and locker rooms.
The scenic pool area is a great place to unwind. There is also a kids’ pool with a water slide nearby. Pool access for lodge guests is included when you book at least 4 nights (biometric access is arranged on weekdays).
